1. Avoid shampooing your hair with toning conditioner or shampoo the first time you wash after your colour , as it may grab and go purple! As much as we LOVE purple shampoo at our Sutherland Shire Hair Salon, just give it a miss the first wash!


After the first wash, a toning shampoo/conditioner will be your best friend as it can help you refresh your blonde in between salon visits, here is a few our Coco21 blonde specialists recommend! (All of these products can be purchase via our online store here or in salon.)

2. Be careful when brushing your hair when wet,  as this is when it is most susceptible to damage . Use a tangle teaser, wet brush,  or wide toothed comb and be very gentle.

3. Tone at home with a toning conditioner, every third or so wash only. Our Evo Fabuloso toning conditioners are available in the salon, or online to purchase. Our Sutherland Shire Blonde Experts can customise each and every one to tone or maintain ANY colour, from the brightest blondes to pastel hues to bold and dark.

4. Use dry shampoo when you can, instead of doing a full hair wash to get longer out of your blonde tone. The less washing, the longer your toner lasts! Winning.

5. Use an oil based serum all over your hair (put in while dry) before swimming in salt or chlorine as a barrier. Exposure to salt and chlorine can be very drying and damaging on your hair, especially for colour treated blondes, this will help to prevent getting that yucky green tinge as well! We recommend the Awapuhi Wild Ginger Styling Treatment Oil where you can purchase here.

6. Sleep with a silk pillowcase to keep your hair silky soft. Cotton drains moisture from hair resulting in dry and brittle strands.
